Since she was a child, founder of Sophisticated Florals, Stephanie Karadzhov, loved flowers. When she went to college, she chose to study Horticultural Science where she formally learned about landscape architecture and botany.
Stephanie is a Winston Salem native who returned to her home after college to bring beautiful, natural floral arrangements to the City of the Arts + Innovation.
In her previous experience, Stephanie worked with chemically-dependent flowers in a greenhouse, motivating her to focus on natural and chemical-free flowers with her own floral business here in Winston Salem. Sophisticated Florals is a full service florist providing organically grown (though not certified-organic) flowers through sustainable practices for weddings, private events, and for sale at local Farmers Markets.

In addition to designing floral arrangements for your wedding day or special event, we also sell our fresh cut, chemical-free flowers at Winston Salem’s Cobblestone Farmers Market during the growing season. We enjoy providing our customers with an array of colors and varieties of flowers you won’t see in a traditional florist shop. You can feel comfortable knowing that when you pick up a fresh arrangement from us the longevity will far surpass supermarket flowers because our flowers have typically been cut one day prior or even the same day you receive your arrangement.
